Young Authors

The Young Authors program provides young children with an opportunity to develop and reinforce basic writing skills. Lessons are fun and individualised, catering to the specific learning needs of your child.

Depending on your child’s experience, lessons can start with the fundamentals of holding a pencil correctly, while also working on activities relating to letter formation and placement.

As your child becomes more confident in their ability to write, the content progresses to cover spelling rules and the distinction between upper and lowercase letters. Students are taught to recognise a sentence, write a paragraph, expand upon simple ideas, and edit pre-written paragraphs. This gently introduces them to basic structured writing principles that are covered in more depth throughout the next stage of the program.
